Colleges and Universities Join Forces to Stop Binge Drinking

Is this because of the accumulation of rote memorization? Would it be the result of standardized testing? Surely at higher level learning institutions we are able to do better than this.

Are our colleges failing? The other author can be an assistant Professor of Sociology at University of Virginia. In reading this book it seems that these authors with this report see the same a few things i do.

Indeed, colleges have risen tuition almost 10 times the inflation rate over the past 10 years. Actually the only thing which has increased in price more than college tuition is our healthcare and healthcare insurance fees. Everything has just gotten past an acceptable limit out of hand. Dartmouth College, together with thirteen other colleges, are joining forces to lower the number of pupils engaging in binge drinking. The project was initiated by Darthmouth's President, Jim Yong Kim, who intends to utilize the same enterprize model he once used to treat tuberculosis in Peru. The project will contain teams from each campus uniting about every half a year to share their experiences with one another about what works and what does not work to curb binge drinking among university students.
